1. Fractional & Project Operations

I've soft-launched the project, soon to be called 'business'! Look out for an entry dedicated to the topic, and/or take a look at my site here.

It's been an incredible experience so far and I feel that the past year has been building up to this moment. Even this site was created from believing in the value I have to offer without being able to consisely articulate it under an existing label. All of my 'projects' and 'passions' are centered on creating something, taking an idea and turning it into something real, and this totally ties in with Operations (always with a capital O!) Operations is the art of doing, and an operation that works well delivers a positive experience to everyone involved.

Job Hunting

I am better at my job now than I was 10 months ago, which is wild to say considering I'm still unemployed- aha!

The greatest struggle throughout this process, has been finding a role that matched my skills and experience, but out of the contact center context. Exploring my skills and experience via cv writing and job applications has allowed me to uncover a whole host of knowledge I didnt even realise I had. On top of that, I've been able to apply it to new environments through my projects. I've formalised and invested in skills, I've been able to have conversations with professionals across all industries and roles as myself, without the pressure and limitations of context.

What began as a challenge has since launched me forward and the unique profile I now offer holds a much greater value than anything I could have imagined a year ago.

What a journey! I always knew that I would look back on this period with appreciation but I'm especially happy to feel it already, as I thought it would come once I was in the security of a permanent role.

As with many great things in life... they come along when you least expect it!

I'm currently in a process that is totally aligned with what I am looking for. It's a scale-up, tech, SaaS company. It has a young, dynamic, ambitious culture. It's an individual contributor role, which will be a new experience that I'm ready for. It is specifically an operations role, allowing me to further double down on this being my industry.

I've arrived to a wonderful point with this project where I'm totally happy for it to tick along. A recent event went so smoothly that the whole process is down to a fine art now, and it's a venture that I can pick up as and when I want, because all the parts are in place.

I now want to enjoy it.
